Watching Tv All Over The World

The Internet was supposed to set us all free, a vast communication network where we could all join together. Increasingly though this doesn’t seem to be happening, slowly we’re all been blocked, redirected or filtered. I was checking the popular music site called Napster a few weeks ago, they had different versions with completely different pricing depending on where you were based. So the French, German, UK and US services were all fairly similar in content but completely different prices!

It’s the same with on line media, all the people living away from their home thought the Internet would bridge that gap slightly. But soon when people tried to access popular media sites like BBC Iplayer, RTE player or Hulu that if you were in the wrong country you got blocked. The open communication we thought we would get seems to be slowly slipping away. Of course this is much worse if you happen to access the web from a country like China or Iran. If you do then I have only one work for you to investigate – proxies.
